At 37 I was already feeling exhausted, sore, and heavy. It was terrifying to expect that it would only get worse. I was in a constant state of overwhelm. I didn't want what I was seeing but I also didn't understand there was another possibility. As far as I knew, you get older, you continue to feel worse and worse until you're cranky all the time.
My vision of the future was bleak. You stop living and just exist because you've lost your muscle and strength, your balance is shot and everything hurts. You never go anywhere except maybe the doctors so you sit around day in and day out feeling lonely and getting older.
